Yellowwood Forest is situated in Morgan Bay, a picturesque little village on the Wild Coast of South Africa. Morgan Bay has much to offer the holidaymaker, from a long beach bordered by a forested nature reserve, to hiking trails over the scenic Morgan Bay Cliffs and on towards Double Mouth Nature Reserve and bead beach.

There are several interesting locals around town, like Ian Corr. Ian founded Corr Guitars here several years ago and builds quality hand-made custom guitars. Working with only the finest indigenous & exotic timbers, state of the art hardware and a wide range of inlay materials, each guitar is constructed to enhance and compliment the playing style of the client.

Known previously as the Transkei, the Wild Coast stretches north of here towards Durban for around 250 kilometres. It is a holiday paradise for the traveller who likes to get off of the beaten track and explore. The coastline is a ruggedly beautiful string of sandy beaches broken by rocky headlands and sweeping estuaries, rich in diversity and wilderness.

There are many ways to explore the Wild Coast, but perhaps the most enjoyable is to go one a multi-day guided horse trail with either Mkulu Kei Horse Trails or Wild Coast Horseback Adventures. Both offer unforgettable horse riding excursions along the Wild Coast with experienced guides and on well-trained mounts. The beach riding along the Transkei is exhilarating and exciting. One sweeping bay after another, rolling hillsides, river crossings and warm lagoons ensure adventure filled days of fabulous horse riding.
